The English and/or German Substitute Teacher will be working cooperatively with the Lead
Teachers of the German and English Section. As a language program we offer a small student-teacher
ratio.
Substitutes do not have a fixed work schedule, but are requested for personal days or sick days of
teachers upon availability. If possible, substitutes are requested for specific days in advance.
However, last minute phone calls in the morning are possible. Substitute teachers receive work
assignments in the Preschool Section of the program.
The positions are available right away.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Experience working with children, classroom experience preferred
• The backbone of an Immersion Program is the utilization of native speakers in the target
languages offered – in this case English and/or German. Being bilingual in German and English
also is an asset – but is not a requirement.
